Important Information Before Your First Visit!

Insurance Information

Jersey City Pediatric Dentistry wants to make sure you’re receiving the best care possible. To that end, we accept cash, all major credit cards and offer third party financing through CareCredit along with accepting a wide variety of insurances.

The best way to know how your insurance will cover our services is for our friendly JCPD staff to call them directly and we are happy to do so! Please give us a call today with your insurance details and we’ll take care of calling the insurance company. We are PREFERRED PROVIDERS with Delta Dental Premier and United Healthcare PPO, but we accept most PPO policies. We accept payment from common dental insurance providers such as Aetna, Cigna, Guardian, MetLife, Principal, Empire, United Health Care, BCBS, and United Concordia. If you don’t see your provider, don’t be alarmed! Just give us the insurance information and we’ll make the call.

No insurance? No problem! Ask about our New Patient Special!

It is important to note that while we seek to maximize your benefits, we diagnose and make treatment recommendations based on optimal dental care rather than what insurance plans may or may not cover. We work with each of our client parents to make sure you have the best dental options available for your child.

Appointment and Scheduling Information

Appointment times are reserved exclusively for each patient and we work hard to reduce wait times. To facilitate each new appointment, we suggest new patients fill out and submit their registration forms online prior to their visit.

The new patient forms are available here:

Please download Adobe Acrobat below to view/print forms:

If you cannot electronically submit your information, please arrive 10 minutes early to complete your new patient paperwork.

Since we make every effort to maintain our schedule for the benefit of our patients and their families, late arrivals may require rescheduling so other patients are not kept waiting.

We schedule our day according to age and procedure. Younger children and patients needing dental treatment (as opposed to preventative care) are generally seen in the mornings. While we try to accommodate school-age children with after school and Saturday appointments, it may be hard to accommodate short notice patients during those popular times. Saturday and after school appointments are a premium, so we limit each child to one per year. For those times when it may be necessary to miss school, you should know that dental appointments are excused absences and we will be happy to provide a school note for when your child returns to school.

PLEASE! We ask any parent or guardian who may be unable to keep your appointment for whatever reason to give us at least 48 hours’ notice so we may call one of our waiting list patients to take that spot. It may be difficult to schedule a speedy replacement appointment time so informing the JCPD staff of a cancellation as early as possible is very important to avoid a long wait for a new appointment.
